2012 Legislative Session Put Families First; Albany Politics Last

Published on June 24th, 2012 by in Uncategorized

“As a newcomer to Albany, I couldn’t help but put my sights on ending Albany’s politics as usual, which meant ending dysfunction and extreme partisanship. I worked closely on bridging a gap between ideologies to accomplish important things like reducing spending to lower income taxes on working families, and investing in jobs and the economy, which is setting the Rochester area apart from the rest of upstate in terms of its rapid economic recovery. At every point, I’ve pushed for reforms so that we could focus on what’s important instead of fighting over the things that don’t matter.”
